Jean Shepard’s husband, Benny Birchfield, was injured in a fatal stabbing that took place in his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The stabbing took place December 17.
Birchfield was found injured, wandering around his yard when police arrived. Inside the home police found the body of Travis Sanders, who died at the scene. Birchfield’s granddaughter was found and taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The incident is still being investigated and Birchfield’s condition is improving.
