Chesney has been a close friend of Manning’s ever since he quarterbacked the Vols in the mid-90s. Chesney was evolving from A-lister to superstar in 2003 when he played his first-ever stadium show at Neyland Stadium, home of the University of Tennessee Vols. Manning had long since left the Vols for the NFL by that point, but Kenny asked his buddy to join him to sing “Back Where I Come From.” Coming from the side of the stage dressed in jeans and cowboy hat, Manning towered over Chesney onstage . Manning leaned in and joined his friend to lead the crowd of 60,000 to the ultimate homecoming song.
Manning won Super Bowl 50, outscoring the Panthers 24 to 10. In doing so, he notched his 200th career victory and Chesney was one of his biggest fans rooting for the Denver Broncos to win Super Bowl 50.
