Three victimes of the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival have filed a lawsuit against bump stock manufacturers. The victims have partnered with the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
The Brady Center filed the lawsuit in the Clark County District Court just days after the shooting. According to the Associated Press the lawsuit claims that Slide Fire Solutions, a company that manufactures bump stocks, misled authorities and consumers about the purpose of bump stocks and marketed those bump stocks to gun enthusiasts.
The lawsuit states: “Plaintiffs are unaware of any measures taken by Slide Fire to ensure that bump stocks would only be sold to persons whose hands had limited mobility or to even see if persons buying bump stocks who were not limited in mobility had any legitimate reason to buy them.”
