Songwriters Nominated for Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame

A dozen songwriters were nominated to join the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, it was announced Thursday.
In the Songwriter category, Aaron Barker, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Frank Dycus, Alex Harvey, Jim McBride, Gary Nicholson, Jim Rushing and Russell Smith were nominated.

In the Songwriter/Artist category: Arthur Alexander, Amy Grant, Townes Van Zandt and Tony Joe White were nominated.

Inductees will be announced in July.

Operated by the non-profit Nashville Songwriters Foundation, the Hall of Fame is dedicated to honoring Nashville’s songwriting legacy through preservation, celebration and education.
