Blake Shelton’s New Album Coming!

Blake Shelton has had quite a year, love, heartache, divorce….and it’s all going to be in his song writing on his new album coming out!  As Blake explained in his interview with ET. ““I can put my life experience, whether it’s a divorce or my new girlfriend, whatever those experiences are, whatever things that are happening in my life, I have an outlet for them,” Shelton says to ET “I have music. I can write songs, I can sing about it.” “I’ve written more than I’ve written in 15 years, for obvious reasons — all the awful things that have happened in my personal life — but the way the year ended is also the greatest of my life,” “If I got hit by a truck, the label would have enough for a new album.  “Sometimes you don’t know who’s in your life that can save you,” Shelton continues. “I found some people in my life that have changed my life forever.  “Some has been bad, and some that’s been pretty good. I’m doing what I’m supposed to do, and that’s put all I’ve gone through and put it into music, and I never felt more connected to a record before,” he adds. “When people hear this record, they may not know what happened to me, but they’re gonna know how I felt about it. And that’s exciting for me, to just lay it out there for people.”  However, the date is still a mystery on the albums release date.  Blake hopes to have a new single out soon — “ (The) New single coming out — I don’t know the exact date,” he says. “I do, but I am supposed to say I don’t know the exact date.”  As an added treat, the the album will also feature an appearance from the legendary Oak Ridge Boys. “In my mind, when I had the Oak Ridge Boys come and sing on my album — which, I could not be more honored and happy, everything that you can be, it’s the Oak Ridge Boys — so I am thinking, ‘Man, this is going to be a perfect secret,’” Shelton says. “‘Nobody is ever going to know until this album comes out.’ And they came and sang and five minutes later, I looked on Twitter like, ‘Oh, they are telling everybody on Twitter right now!’

NOTE: Blake Shelton, the reigning 5 time CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and coach of NBC’s hit show The Voice, will hit the road for his Blake Shelton presented by Gildan tour.  Blake will perform March 4th and 5th at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tn.
