Charley Pride to Receive Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award

Charley Pride is set to receive the Grammy’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Pride is the first African American member of the Grand Ole Opry. In 1971 he was the first African American to win CMA Entertainer of the Year.

Over the course of his career Pride has had multiple hits and sold millions of records. He is best known for his hit song, “Kiss an Angel Good Morning.”

The 2017 Grammy Awards are set to air on Feb. 12 on CBS.
