More details are emerging concerning the fatal stabbing involving Jean Shepard’s husband.
According to the Tennesseean, Benny Birchfield shot and killed Travis Sanders after Sanders attacked Birchfield’s granddaughter with a knife. Birchfield’s granddaughter was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Birchfield is still recovering from his injuries.
